This book tells a story of 2 young girls Franny and Suzy's friendship and dramas. During the school holidays Franny had drowned and died. This made Suzy quieter than ever. Suzy thought there had to be some sort of explanation. Suzy study about jellyfish in order to answer her questions to weather Franny was stung or really did drown. Suzy studied: where they are found,what they eat, population, different types of jellyfish she even started to formulate a plan to go to Australia[half way around the world] to find out more answers about these deadly jellyfish.Suzy believed that her best friend Franny cant of drowned because she was good at swimming.Her plan didn't happen and her questions weren't exactly answered so Suzy just had to accept that "things just happens in life".

This book is based on a true story.In 1944 -1945 world war 2 occurred in a town called Hungary.
The Nazis invaded Hungary and had began to capture the Jews because of this conflict over racism. Jewish started preparing to go into hiding. A family of 5 mum,dad,Susan,Vera and Thomas lived in Hungary. The kids parents were concerned about the safety of Susan and Vera. The parents decided to send Susan and Vera to a convent with nuns and a hole group of other Jews hiding there too. Susans dad was sent to a labour camp leaving the mum and baby brother Thomas alone. This books explains the two Jewish sisters experience living in a convent with nuns and a group of Jewish strangers.The mother and Tohmas were later sent into the ghettos left with no food and suffering. several years  After the war had  ended Susan and Vera were collected by there father who had survived the labour camps. The mum,dad  Susan and Vera survived and continued there life in Canada.

Anne frank is well known around the world for her diary "the secret annex". This book is not the copy of the diary in fact it is one of the many well known collections of her diary. This book features parts and quotes from her diary. But it also explains her life including:what school she went to and lots of background pieces written in her diary. Anne Frank and her family were unfortunately captured and were sent to concentration camps.Anne died on the 4th of august 1944. I recommend this book for anyone that wants to learn A bit about Annes experiences and history.

Japan's population is 125 million also being around the same size as New Zealand! This unique country is made up out of 3,922 islands.
I recommend this book if you want to learn a bit more of Japan this is a interesting book and you can learn new facts!!

This book is about a girl named Emma Tree that died when she was a little girl.But she comes back as Ana-Rose still reliving the nightmare of her past.

I enjoyed this book because it was heartbreaking and brought my attention right through the book.P.S if you read this book you wouldn`t want to put it down.

This book is about seires of letters sent by a couple during the first world war.
The letters were found in a old libary in a bundle tucked away. They are letters from an anzac solider,harry allan wainwright, to jessica collingwood. The letters talk about harrys army life (the war) and how things are going on back at home with jessica.
Harry sent letters to jessica and wrote  what its like to be in coffin-trenches and his experience about the war. Jessica got a job as a nurse and explains her experience as a nurse. Towards the end
Jessica recived a letter by sergeant  fredrerick muller explaining the lost of harry. These letters were past on and somehow mades its way to a old libary.
Then descoverd later to this day made into a story. I rate this a 8/10 .

This book about Egyptian and there pyramids. This was a very interesting text. I learnt about how the pyramids were made and what was found inside them in the later years. Did you know that the pyramids were actually just big blocks of stone, carved and shaped to fit together? The making of the mummies were a very long process they would have to take the heart and stomach out and put it into a special jar to protect them they then wrap the bodies up in special cloth.

I really enjoyed learning about the pyramids and I personally rate this book a 8/10

A Jewish family on the run from Adolf Hitler moving from country to country. 8 years home to home making friends and leaving them behind. This story is based of a young girls diary from her age of 9-17. She left her home with her mum and dad leaving her 3 year old brother behind. And 8 years later no mum as she died from depression and lung cancer. And she moved to u.s.a and now lives with her "brother" leon who they met a few years before and is now like family. She now is studying to be a journalist and leon is studying to be a doctor.

i highly recommend this book its full of drama,love and hope

This book has many facts about jellyfish and scientist but put into a story to make it easier to understand. First Suzy's best friends died but she didn't believe it because  she was a fantastic swimmer she was determined that she got stung by a jellyfish. She starts researching different people who study jellyfish to help her prove her point. She searched for a very long time then found out that she is perfect.
I really enjoyed this book because I could engaged with it. I rate this book a 10/10
